bright, punchy pear and quince aromas with lashings of river stone-like minerality

Taste & Other Notes

When you taste it the wine has a medium to full palate weight with flavours that have focused spice characters to compliment the pear and ripe red apple notes. Incredibly long finish with nice juicy acidity that turns it into a delicious wine.


The Winemaker says:

Vineyard – Our Nelson Pinot Gris was selected from four of our contract growers in the Nelson region

Soil – Predominantly from vineyards situated on ancient river beds with sotny, alluvial soils.

Vintage Conditions – A hot Summer provided the base for an early vintage. Rain just prior slowed down the ripening down somewhat but good fruit flavours developed in the picked fruit.

Harvest Date – 1st week of April 2016

Fermentation / Maturation – 100% Stainless Steel

Alcohol – %

Residual Sugar – 6 g/L

Total Acidity – 7.3 g/L

Cellar – 3 years

Serving Suggestions – This elegant, fleshy wine makes a perfect aperitif, or serve chilled with fresh fish.
